THIS IS AN INVITATION TO CELEBRATE THE END OF OUR HERITAGE LOTTERY FUNDED PROJECT ON THE HISTORY OF HIGHGATE AND THE YOUTH CENTRE

Over the half term week, a group of young people worked on a local history project on Highgate past and present. 

To recognise their achievements we are holding a celebration event on:

THURSDAY 9^TH NOVEMBER AT 7PM

CITY OF COLOURS CELEBRATION

Come and joint us for a day of celebration at the youth centre this Saturday 22nd October 2016 from 1-3pm.

We are celebrating our 'musical roots' with a Caribbean themed event - music - food - art!

All are welcome so please come along and have some fun.

SUMMER MUSICAL ROOTS PROJECT

All are invited to this new project based around music, the arts and media.  If you are interested and can commit and sign up for five days, you should contact Tolaya or Tom at the centre next week to register

Upon successful completion of this five day project, you will gain a BRONZE ARTS AWARD plus join in the end of project party!

SELF CONTAINED OFFICE, COMMUNITY & TRAINING SPACE TO LET

Easily accessible and centrally located in Highgate, Birmingham with free parking available on site and in surrounding roads.

Office suite consisting of three small offices, one large room with a capacity of up to 30 people depending on use, kitchen, toilets, laundry and self contained entrance & exit.  These rooms can be individually let or the suite can be let as a whole.

LARGE HALL TO LET – SATURDAY DAY TIME

The large hall with kitchen and toilets off is available to rent on Saturday’s.  Access is available through the main front entrance and car parking is available to the side.

All enquiries welcome.  Viewings can be arranged.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES PROGRAMME

Our programme is well on its way but there is still time to left to join in on some of the activities that we have on offer:

MONDAY 17TH AUGUST 6-8PM - Arts & Crafts - we are making 'arty' clocks that are fully functional and can be taken home once completed

THURSDAY 20TH AUGUST - Go Karting - Leaving the centre at 6pm to start the session from 7pm and returning back to the centre between 9-10pm - COST £10.00 per person - You must be above the height of 4ft 8" to take part - Places are going fast to if you are interested please book and reserve you place with the youth workers ASAP

SATURDAY 22ND AUGUST - Drayton Manor Park & Zoo - Leaving the centre promptly at 9.30am with return to the centre between 5-6pm - packed lunches required - COST £10.00 per person for members only.  Other family members can attend but are required to pay £18.50 per person.  Costs include entrance fee and coach contribution.  Again places are going very quickly so you need to book ASAP.

TUESDAY 25TH AUGUST - 6-8PM - Dance workshop - all welcome, regardless of your ability!
 
THURSDAY 27TH AUGUST -  Creation Skate Park - Leaving the centre at 6pm to start the session at 7pm, returning to the centre by 10pm - COST £10.00 per person which includes hire of safety wear and bicycle or scooter hire

Come to the centre during normal evening session to book your places - all members welcome!!
