Congratulations to the 8 lads that made up our 5-A-Side football team. The lads did themselves, the centre and Highgate proud by bring back the winners trophey in the Central region finals.
The first group game was a draw 3-3 with a team from Leicester who we would eventually meet again in the final, the the lads then went on to win 2 nothing the second game.
Third game was against
sports4life (a local team from Ladywood) and you'll be please to know
that game finished 5 nothing to us. Now that win put is in the
semifinals which we won 4 - 1, with Trea scoring a hat-trick in style
but he also got injured. So he was missing in the final. Then in the Final our captain Kali came on to score the one goal we needed to win Game ended 1 nothing to us making us Central region champions again and we go onto Manchester to compete in the National Finals in May.
