Changing Boundaries Business Project

5 hours per week - JNC Grade 5

St. Martin’s Youth and Community Centre is seeking to recruit a Part Time Youth Support Worker on a fixed term contract until March 2012.

The successful applicant will primarily be involved in supporting young people participating on the Changing Boundaries Business Project by sharing business skills/ practices and running workshops as well as provide mentoring and guidance to them. You will also assist in the recording, documenting and reporting of the project and its participants.

Changing Boundaries is an entrepreneurial project designed to raise the long term aspirations and expectations of young people who are at risk of being involved or becoming a victim of guns, gangs and knife crime. This project may bring you into contact with challenging young people.

St. Martin's Youth and Community Centre is a youth focused charity based in central Birmingham. We provide a regular broad range of positive activities for local young people.

This post is for 5 hours per week which will be split over 2 evenings one of which will be Tuesday's. The post is subject to JNC terms and conditions starting at Grade 5 (£8.50 per hour). The successful applicant will be required to complete an Enhanced Criminal Record Bureau disclosure and provide 2 references
